My last two jobs where as an IT Techy and then a cab driver. I quickly became tired of office life because spending all day, often in depressing buildings really eroded my sense of freedom and independence, the office politics can really put a downer on your view of your fellow human beings. I stopped driving a cab because it was extremely boring most times, I also found myself in a few bad situations and i ended up feeling that it was only a matter of time before I was beaten up or worse. I eventually realised that I am the kind of person that likes to be on the and busy with technically challenging work... which is what ‘sparked’ my interest in electricity (sorry, lol).
Having seen a few good guides to becoming an electrician sprawled across the net my intention with this blog is to get that information together in one place. I am not a keen writer and i am not an electrician but I will try my best to bring you as much of a comprehensive guide as possible. I will sometimes write from the perspective of a working electrician so as to convey the information in a confident way. My research tools are books and the internet, if you feel my information is inaccurate I welcome your emails and comments, my mission is only to provide accurate info!
